The Al Ludwig Memorial Fund Scholarship was established to provide financial support to a Ligonier Valley High School graduating senior who stands out amongst his/her peers as a positive role model and displays energy and compassion for others.
Average Annual Award: $2,500.00
Award Type: Single-year award to be dispersed directly to the recipient’s educational institution upon successful completion of the first semester.
Application Deadline: March 21, 2023
Criteria:
*Currently attending Ligonier Valley High school and a candidate for graduation with the Class of 2021.
*Plans to attend an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university OR vocational or technical trade school.
*Nominated by a Ligonier Valley School District teacher or coach.
How to Apply:
*Nominated students will be notified and provided a scholarship application. It will be the responsibility of the student to submit the application and essay by the nomination deadline.
*Submit one letter of recommendation by someone unrelated to the student, by the application deadline.
*Submit current high school transcript by the application deadline.

The Ram Pride Award, formerly the Breniser Award, is presented to a Ligonier Valley Middle School student who demonstrates sportsmanship, leadership, and courage and represents their school with the highest athletic and character credentials possible. The recipient is chosen by his or her coaches and teachers. The Al Ludwig Memorial Fund sponsors this $100 U.S. Savings Bond award in memory of Bruce Long, LVHS Class of 1973. Bruce was a founding member of the ALMF and recipient of the 1st Breniser Award in 1970.
